Latest Product News:
Informec, Inc. is proud to announce the release of edCenter 1.0, including the new web-based interface edExpress.

What is edCenter?
edCenter is the most complete eLearn solution available today. In development for over 9 years, edCenter is the result of thousands of online classes delivered to students around the world.

Using edCenter, your instructors and students only need Internet Explorer 5.5 (or greater). No ActiveX downloads or Java applets - edCenter is the most robust, yet "firewall friendly," solution on the market today.

What makes edCenter different?
edCenter includes everything a training or educational organization needs to create, deliver, and manage an online learning program. Our solution includes:

  • edAdmin - web-based LMS (learning management system)
  • edEnroll - brandable web-based online catalog
  • edExpress - CDS (content delivery system)
  • edComposer - web-based course development tool

Students and instructors access edCenter courseware using their browser from any computer - even at the same time. With edCenter, your organization can now offer your own courseware (using the included edComposer authoring tool) or "off the shelf curriculum" from vendors such as Microsoft, Novell, McGraw-Hill, the Oklahoma Department of Career and Technology Education (CIMC).

To view some sample courses, please visit our new demonstration web site at http://demo.edcenter.com.

How Can I License edCenter?
We offer edCenter under one of two licensing models:
  • Self-hosted - run edCenter and all the accompanying software from your own servers.
  • Hosted - run your own license of edCenter on one of our servers hosted in our data center in Arizona.

Under either licensing model, you have complete control over your learning system. Brand your courses, enroll your students, provide your own instructors. At no time does Informec, Inc. interact directly with your students - your learning system is yours to manage!

Is edCenter an LMS or a CDS?
There's a lot of confusion in the market today about LMS vs. CDS. Some organizations license an LMS thinking it provides a delivery system. Others license a delivery system, but really need an LMS. edCenter is actually both a learning management system (LMS) as well as a content delivery system (CDS).

Using the edAdmin tool, you can manage your entire eLearn program. From courses, to student enrollments, to instructor assignments, edAdmin is a robust LMS that will meet your needs today and into the future.

edExpress is our CDS - a web-based non-ActiveX/Java applet solution that runs in Microsoft's Internet Explorer 5.5 and greater. Simply point your browser to the edExpress web site and you can use any edCenter course. This significantly reduces support costs for instructors and students.
